1. New aplanatic Schmidt telescope design produces aberration-free images across a wide field of view
2. Focus adjustment is supported by two pre-loaded ball bearings to minimize the "mirror flop" typical of bushing focus mechanisms
3. Flexible tension mirror locks hold the mirror in place and reduces image shift
4. Cooling vents located on the rear cell allows warm air to be released from behind the primary mirror.
