Axiomtek announced its newNA-330 low power1U rackmount network appliance with ten Gigabit LANs, utilizing dual core Intel® Atom™ processor D525 at 1.8 GHz with Intel® ICH8M PCH chipset. The NA-330 supports two high bandwidth DDR3 SO-DIMM slots with memory up to 4GB.For greater flexibility, the NA-330 is available with either ten Gigabit Ethernet ports or eight Gigabit Ethernet ports plus two SFP based fiber ports. To help with unexpected shutdowns, our network appliance supports two-group LAN bypass function through WDT and GPIO pin definitions. The platform uses today’s Intel® Hyper-threading Technology to advance CPU performance and throughout. Axiomtek’s NA-330 is an ideal solution for network applications in VPN, firewall, UTM and more.“
Axiomtek’s NA-330 1U-type low-power network appliance platform offers users a high-end and stable network performance at a valuable cost. Powered by Intel® Atom™ processor D525 architecture with Intel® ICH8M PCH chipset, the NA-330 multi-Gigabit network appliance platform offers excellent performance in both network security and communication. The Gigabit LAN ports are available in copper and fiber configurations to meet different requirements. To enhanced reliability, the NA-330 supports data protection via two-group bypass segment for fail-over option. High Port Density & LAN Bypass To allow developers to configure LAN ports based on their solution requirement, the NA-330 offers up to ten Gigabit Ethernet ports and two Gigabit SFP ports using Intel® 82583V, Intel® 82572EI and Intel® 82541PI LAN chips. It also supports two group of LAN bypass function via WDT and GPIO pin definitions to prevent sudden power shutdowns. The Intel® Hyper-threading Technology enables multiple threads to run on each core to increase processor throughput and performance.
Expansion & Storage Capability In order to address the various network application needs, the NA-330 features two 2.5” SATA HDD or one 3.5” SATA HDD, a CompactFlash™ slot, a console port, and two USB ports, and one PCI Express Mini card (USB-type) available for WiFi wireless card installation.
For easy maintenance, the front panel has a front-facing LED indicator for power and HDD activity monitoring. The NA-330 also supports mainstream Linux kernel 2.4 and 2.6 operating systems.
